This database is actually under construction and we keep working on it. In particular, year 2001 is subject to changes. Subsequently, the database will be updated every 3 months. We will put at your disposal the history of the database revisions.
The data has been hand-collected and verified. In case you find any mistake feel free to contact us.
This database is a free resource. You can download and use it for further analysis. Our only requirement is to mention the European Center for Corporate Control Studies (ECCCS) for the data source. We also kindly ask you to report us works produced using the ECCCS M&A database, so we will be able to maintain a list of them on www.ecccs.eu.
Our goal is to maintain this database through time, to add recent years and to complete the history of notified cases to the European Commission (period 1992-2000).
